Dy scheme 5

Notes

Used at: Mainz

Lasers used: Ti:sapphire

Used: offline

Notes: From M.Ed. thesis of P. Dyrauf (Mainz). Efficiency not quantified. 2nd step taken as one of the highest peaks in the scan range 47400 - 48900 cm-1. Maximum available power for 2nd step was 120mW, still linear in this regime.

11/2021: Compared this scheme to [418.8nm - Blaze (35W at launch)] scheme. The Blaze scheme seems to give ~ factor 4 more ion signal than this. Blaze was not found to be saturated at that test.

First transition: Saturated at 3.5(1) mW

Second transition: Saturation at > 120 mW

Scheme

Ionization Potential: 47901.760 cm⁻¹ (NIST ASD, 2024)
Lasers used: Ti:Sa
