Ni scheme 4
Notes
Efficiency: 6%
Used at: CERN
Lasers used: Dye, Ti:sapphire
Used: online
Reference: B. Marsh, V. Fedosseev, "RILIS Database" (2009)
Notes: There is a slight isotope shift in the AI. (e.g.: 13361.289 for 64Ni )
It might be worth testing the scheme with the 1st step starting from the gs. The population at 2000K is 40% in the gs and 26% in the thermal one. Transition strength is lower (1.7e6s-1) but with dye laser that could still be saturated.
Scheme
Ionization Potential: 61619.770 cm⁻¹ (NIST ASD, 2024)
Lasers used: Ti:Sa and Dye
